A true vintage Art Nouveau fine porcelain centerpiece c1890-1900. Most likely German or Austrian, this 14-1/4" tall and 10-1/4" wide decorative item would look good on the table or on the mantlepiece. Constructed of two pieces, the bowl and base, it has a figure on a column in the center of the lower bowl, which has finely molded openwork flowing handles. All parts of this display piece are fully handpainted, from the finely detailed face to the fine gold highlights. The finish is mostly matte, with the interiors, body of the figure and central panel in a gloss surface. The interiors of the bowls have a lustre finish. The bowl attaches to the base column with a brass cylindrical mount and sleeve, and this ornate piece is unmarked. The condition of this item is remarkable - it has survived completely intact with no wear, losses or any damage whatssoever over the last 110 or so years. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs. All
items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface tracked insured shipping to the U.S. starts at $34 (other spots may vary, air is higher) - insurance/tracking included in shipping quotes. A stunning, high quality Victorian period hand painted European bisque porcelain shelf sitter or swinger figure or hanger. This c1880s-90 figural shelf sitter is unmarked but certainly the quality of Heubach; it is hand painted with subtle pastel green, yellow and the figures have nice pink skin tones. The faces are finely detailed and the molding is superbly executed. There are gold highlights and beads, and the hands of the male figure have holes for the string for hanging. It also can sit on the edge of a shelf, and it measure 7" tall and is 5-1/2" wide. It is in fair condition - there is an old repair where one arm has been re-attached with glue and the string has been replaced. The damage is at the back of the figure, so it could be a perfect candidate for a professional repair. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
Surface shipping to the U.S. starts at $10 (other spots may vary) - insurance included to $95. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.
