It contains a curl of brown hair and it has an MCP monogram on the back. It has a later gate latch clasp which is stamped 14K (replacing the original c-clasp) and this pin weighs 5.7 grams. A Victorian 14k gold synthetic sapphire seed pearls leaf pin brooch from 1880-1890. This attractive2-1/8 x 5/8" brooch is of hollow construction and it has a finely tooled pinioned leaf with seed pearls and a claw-set synthetic sapphire. Fine gem stones like emeralds or sapphires were very expensive in the 19th and early 20th century, so synthetic gems were often used even in gold jewelry. The pearls are natural with the expected surface irregularities and this pin is unmarked but tests as 14k gold. It has the repositioned original c-clasp (the pin closure itself is gold filled) and the leaf rotates around it's original pinion. An Art Deco 14k white gold amethyst ring from about 1920. This size 5 oval solitaire ring measures 5/8" x 1/2" across the top and it weighs 4.2 grams. It is stamped 14 K with an arrow maker's mark. A Victorian 14k diamond brooch circa 1890. This antique 1" across whirling circle pin has a free and graceful open filigree design. This round yellow gold pin shows the transition from stylized Victorian to the more flowing Art Nouveau influence. It measures 1 inch across, and in the centre is a claw set clear white genuine European antique cut diamond, measuring 3.5 mm. across (approximately 20 pt. by gauge) - it is is VS2 diamond of I-J colour. It has the original gate-latch safety clasp, where it is stamped 14 K. It is in very good condition, with all of the claw work in excellent condition, and the diamond in excellent condition also, but please note there appears to be an old professional repair visible only on the back of the brooch. It comes with an old appraisal.
