A fine Egyptian hallmarked 12K yellow and rose gold synthetic or created Alexandrite ring. This size 6 ring measures 5/8" across the stone, which has an intense purple red to blue colour change (much more blue than in our outdoor picture). The stone is 6.9 carats (by gauge measurement) and this ring weighs 3.9 grams. These simulated/created alexandrites are usually corundum laced with vanadium to produce the color change, or a treated colourless chrysoberyl. This created gemstone has been around for almost 100 years, and the stones usually test as corundums on a gem tester (natural genuine alexandrites are expensive and uncommon, most of what you will see for sale is the simulated version). It has the Egyptian gold hallmarks inside the band for 12K gold - we are not completely familiar with the year mark, so are unsure when this was made. The ring upper also carries the 12K mark (it has also been tested, and it tests as 12K or slightly higher). It is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a few extremely miniscule edge abrasions to the stone edges/facets (visible under a loupe). An early and opulent pair of 14k gold and cultured pearl pierced earrings by Ming's of Hawaii. These 1-1/8 x 3/4" earrings were purchased in Hawaii, and Ming's was a top-notch retailer of finely crafted and expensive jewellery. The pearls have wonderful creamy pink lustre and they average 4 mm. each. The stone is a pale green jade teardrop (a cool pale green, unlike in our pictures). They are stamped 14K with the Ming's maker's mark on the butterflies, and this classy pair is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All

Measuring 9/16" across the setting, this size 7-1/4 ring features a 1.2 ct. oval emerald (dark tone, bluish green, medium cut, heavily included) with a 12 pt diamond and eight other diamonds (32 points total) all in VS-SI clarity and G-H colour. A 20-3/4" long (extended) 835 silver and 18k yellow gold necklace, probably Peruvian, depicting what appear to be Incan gods. This necklace consists of 9 hand-hammered and cut segments ranging in size from 1-3/8 x 7/8" to 2-1/2 x 2". Each has an applied silver-backed skin of 18k gold in the form of Inca gods. An elegant modern vintage 14k white gold necklace consisting of a 17-7/8" rope-twist 14k white gold fine link chain with spring-ring catch. On it is suspended a 1-3/8" long pendant set with with a teardrop cut genuine sapphire and genuine diamonds. The navy blue claw-set free-swinging sapphire is attached to a setting with 11 diamonds (approximately 1.5-2 points each by gauge). The pendant is stamped 14K and FHJ and the chain is Italian, stamped 585 (for 14K) with a star and 381 and AR (for Arezzo, Italy). The facetted pear shaped cut sapphire measures 7mm x 4mm a 3mm. An opulent size 9-3/4 custom-designed wirework ring with a natural emerald surrounded by diamonds. This ring measures 1" in diameter across the basket-style setting and it weighs 11.3 grams. It has a recent professional gemological appraisal in the amount of $4800 Canadian, which is included with this ring. The stones include an oval emerald of .65 ct. with great colour, and the diamonds include two mine cut diamonds (.5 ct., I-1 and L-L colour) and three European cut (with one round brilliant cut) diamonds (total .64 ct., SI1-I1, G-H colour), and thirteen single cut and five round brillliant cut diamonds (total .45 ct., VS-SI, G-K colour).
