A simple and elegant late Victorian period rhodolite garnet and opals ring c1890-1900. This size 5-1/2 ring measures 1/2 x 1/4" across the oval stones, which include the pinkish garnet and two natural opals, both of which have intense orange and green fire (more intense than in our pictures). This ring is stamped 10K, the gold is slightly pink tinged, it weighs 2.2 grams, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All

A fine Victorian period 12k yellow gold ring with genuine amethysts and pearls. This size 7 ring measures 3/8" wide across the top, it is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1871, and it has an LHJ maker's mark. The amethysts are a fine medium purple colour, and it has ornate hand engraving all around the band. This dainty ring is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or visible repairs. A mid-Victorian period 12k yellow gold Persian turquoise row ring fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1871. This size 4-3/4 ring has a WPS maker's mark, it measures 11/16" along the stones and 1/4" wide, and it has hand-engraved shoulders. It has an open back typical of the era, and some of the turquoise show green colour variances - this tends to happen with turquoise over time, by exposure to environment and skin oils, as it is a somewhat porous gemstone. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. The ring was possibly re-sized at some point - there is a trace of that inside the ring - it was done where it would not affect the hallmarks. A superb and evocative 1-5/8 x 1-3/8" mid-Victorian mourning pin in 14k yellow gold (unmarked but tested). This pin features a carved pink coral hand with black enamel bands on its sleeve, holding a wreath of flowers and leaves. There are seed pearls in the flower centers and there is a claw-set pearl in the center. It has a reeded edge and a c-clasp which has been added a bit later for wear as a brooch; originally it would have been a pendant and a small loop remains at the top. This size 6-1/2 ring measures 3/4" x 5/16" across the top and the well-matched garnets have a nice pink ruby-like colour.
