A well made English sterling thimble in its original fitted box, fully hallmarked Birmingham, England 1923-4. This 7/8" high and 5/8" across thimble is stamped with the hallmarks, the maker's mark H.G&S (Henry Griffith & Sons), and the size 13. It has a high relief flower band design, and the 1-1/8 x 15/16" carboard box is stamped GOLDSMITH & JEWELLER W. AUSTIN BALSAM 14, KING STREET. READING. This thimble appears unused and mint in the box, and it retains its tarnish, which we haven't cleaned. This item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of rubbing on the top of the box. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted.
