A pair of (typically) unmarked Majestic Japanned wood and brass table lamps c1950s. The black painted wood includes the 7 x 4-1/2" base with a crescent moon mounted on the brass upright with a brass ball separating it from the base. They stand 17-1/2" tall including the 12 x 6-1/2" shades, which are of fiberglass with plastic stringing on the borders and a wire cage for mounting on the lightbulb. They have their original cords with Leviton sockets with inspection stickers, and both lamps work. This pair of fine Retro decorative lamps is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor loss to the gold-plated finish over the brass and one small touched-up chip on the tip of one crescent. The rest of the black paint is intact with only tiny flakes and one scratch with the paint mostly intact. Please note that someone has painted the original shades with white paint - you can try to remove it if you wish. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface tracked shipping to the U.S. starts at $40 (other spots may vary, air is higher) - tracking and insurance are included in shipping quotes. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: we DO NOT accept PayPal, only VISA and MASTERCARD.

The sockets and fittings are all metal, and the cord has a two-step thumbwheel switch for high and low settings. It has the original sticker stating LATTRELITE GENUINE CRISTAL DE PLOMBE 24% LEAD CRYSTAL FAIT MAIN HAND CUT and it has a double socket taking bulbs with 7/16" sockets (typical of candle or holiday bulbs). A great quality, stylish and vintage hallway ceiling lamp consisting of the original lacquered brass canopy and housing, holding a free hand painted satin glass shade. The shade opens towards the top and it has fine hand painted black and red vertical asymmetric stripes. This lamp and chain has the original cloth-wrapped wire; it hangs 17-1/2" in total and the shade measures 7" long. It could be as early as the mid 1930s given the shade, quality and wiring - the patina and minor wear on the brass and the dryness of the cloth wiring (which remains intact and useable) certainly points to a ripe old age. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $15 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.

A fine quality porcelain lamp with gilt metal mounts c1920s. In the Prattware style, this hand painted china lamp is most likely by Noritake, - we were unable to disassemble it for examination to say definitely. It has 3 colour Greek mythology-style portrait medallions and a Greek key band at the neck all on a deep and vibrant orange ground; it measures 12-1/2" from the base to the top of the decorative upper metal collar (excluding the 15-1/4" shaft, socket, harp and finial). It has a replaced socket body and it has been rewired in the past; it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs (other than mentioned above). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $28 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal.

A cool and decorative Art Deco vintage silver plated figural lamp with original shade c1920s-30s. This 10" high lamp (to the top of the socket) has a silver plated figure of a proud pirate mounted on a metal plinth with felt backing; it includes the original 5-3/4" high and 7-1/2" wise celluloid lamp shade. The shade features lithophane-style graphics of a pirate ship on one side, a pirate and ship on the other, and decorative borders on the sides. The images show up when the bulb shines through the celluloid panels, which are held onto the metal frame by leather stitching. This item has been rewired and retains its original hardware; it is in very good original condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, or repairs. It has a partial tag from Silverware Products Canada on the bottom, and the shade has a few splits to the leather binding, a loss and cracks to the celluloid on the lower corners of the boat side and on the lower extreme corner of the pirate side. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $29 (other spots may vary) - insurance/tracking is included in shipping quotes. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept PayPal.
