This is a partial set of 51 pieces of English mid-19th century (or earlier) heavy ironstone dinnerware, marked Real Stone China in the pattern number 142. Decoration is in the Imari palette, and the company remains unidentified as does the precise date of production - real stone china and similar terms were on the back of various English china firms from about 1820 onward. It is uncommon to find such large matching sets of vintage ironstone such as this, and this set is in excellent original condition for its age, with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs unless noted (see images for examples of damage on the listed pieces with flaws). All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have expected signs of gentle use and original manufacturing irregularities. Shipping will take at least 5-6 large boxes and minimal packing and shipping supply fees will be added to the total, which will vary depending on your location and shipping requirements for this heavy ironstone. Payment for this set is by cheque, bank draft, bank wire transfer or money order ONLY, and insurance for loss will be part of the shipping quote. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal. The pieces include:

A rare English Prattware commemorative cream or milk jug c1798-1806, which we believe was issued to commemorate either the Battle of the Nile (a significant English military battle of 1798) or the battle of Trafalgar (1805), a most significant English military battle still commemorated today in England on Trafalgar Day. This 5-3/8" tall jug has stylized portraits of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson and Captain Edward Berry with orange, brown, cobalt and green glazes on the high-relief modelling. Prattware is not often found in perfect condition, and this piece is not, either. This jug is unrestored except for a primitive and early reattachment of the bottom of the handle. There is some interior browning and staining, some overall crazing and some exterior browning on the spout. The bottom of the handle is missing and the bottom third has been crudely cemented in place. This jug is well worth having professionally restored, and it is a seldom seen English historic commemorative. It is in fair unrestored condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage other than stated above. Shipping is $12 to the US, insured is higher. We ship internationally, and all prices are in $US. Please note that we do not accept Paypal.
