A fine quality c1913-16 lady's gold filled fancy engraved hunter case pocket watch by Regina. Trade marked by Omega in 1911, this example has a serial number corresponding to c1913-16. The porcelain dial has black markers, a single-sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is marked with the retailer's name A.M. GILPIN with the town name DUNNVILLE, ONT. (Canada), a small town near Hamilton. The superbly decorated hunter case is stamped 184521 SOVEREIGN GOLD FILLED with the E in a maple leaf mark for Ellis. The 28 mm. works are marked REGINA WATCH Co. SWISS 7 JEWELS 2 POSITIONS 4655766, and this watch measures 36 mm. across. A fine quality gold cased key wind pocket watch c1900-10. This 1-5/8" diameter watch has blued hands and a textured gold face. The ornately tooled and engraved case is stamped K18 on the crown and WARRANTED 18 CARAT 92971 inside the back. The dust cover also has this serial number along with CUIVRE J.D. The works are unmarked and they measure 1-7/16" across. The case snaps shut firmly front and back, it has the original key and it runs well. A branded c1900 gold filled pocket watch. This 2" across stem-wind pocket watch has a porcelain dial with a single sunk seconds dial and blued hands. It is printed with C.M. VON VALKENBURG PETROLIA (Ontario, Canada) on the face, and the 1-5/8" across works has nice damaskeening. The works are marked ADJUSTED 2 POSITIONS 17 JEWELS 3876866. We haven't identified the works however the regulator resembles that of Howard or Ball watches. The case is stamped BANNER GOLD FILLED 168653 and it has numerous servicing inscriptions. It has a JES script monogram, and this watch is in very good condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor wear to the gold plating and a small chip to the face at 23 minutes on the dial (covered by the bezel). The mainspring will not hold tension however everything else appears to be working, clean and intact and the time can be easily set. A 1-3/16" across Waltham 14k yellow gold pocket watch in the Ruby Jewel size 6/0 series. This 15 jewel open face watch features a black and red enamel dial with blued hands, a 14k solid gold Roy case with dust cover (serial number 266831, and the inner dust cover door is also stamped 14k with the same serial number). It has a lug at the bottom to allow a strap to be added so it can be converted to wrist wear, as well as a pendant watch. The lug also tests as 14k gold. The works are stamped A.W.W.CO. WALTHAM, MASS. and 10088136 (the serial number for a manufacturing date of 1900). It is stem wind, the case has a JGH monogram. It has some condition issues: It was recently running but isn't now (dropped on table, so balance wheel has a break) and there are some fine hairline cracks to the dial (see pictures). There are some scratches on the crystal. The works are otherwise very clean and do not look neglected. We are not watch restorers, so cannot restore it, but it can be done by a competent watch person.
