Mabe pearls grown on the inside of the shell rather than the centre, so they are curved at the front but flatter at back. This pendant has a pearl enhancer type loop, which means it can also be worn over a strand of pearls or some other gem as a pendant also. The pearl alone measures 12 mm. across and the six genuine modern single cut diamonds are set in white gold, with yellow gold surrounding. It weighs 3.6 grams and it has a swing-open clasp with a snap-on safety catch. The entire pendant size is 22mm x 16mm (or 7/8" by a bit over 5/8"). A lovely Art Deco vintage filigree or basket weave 14k yellow gold c1920s. This Art Deco size 6 beauty is set with a genuine citrene (or citrine ) and two flanking genuine baroque pearls. The citrene is an unusual cut with a flat table and facets underneath; the ring surface measures 5/8" x 5-16", and the citrene measures 8mm. x 6mm. A rather unusual Edwardian period 10K yellow gold tie pin or stickpin c1900. This 2-1/2" stickpin has a 10k yellow gold top set with genuine seed pearls and a gold plated pin. The top of the stickpin screws onto the pin. The 7/8" x 1/2" head in the form of shooting star with genuine seed pearls at each end. Shooting star stickpins were popular around the time of famous comet appearances (1910 - Halley's comet), but different versions of this motif were popular in the late 19thC also. A superb quality late Victorian period 14K sunburst brooch c1895-1900. This 14k yellow gold large sunburst convertible pendant brooch measures 1-1/4" in diameter, and has 40 lovely graduated natural pearls mounted on curved rays of the sun shaped brooch interspersed with large pearls on gold stalks. The pearls measure from 2.5mm - 3mm, and the pearls on stalks measure 3mm each. All pearls are of excellent creamy white lustre and they are superbly matched. The pin itself has a pin with c-clasp, which can be unscrewed and completely removed with a threaded finger screw in the shape of the number 8. There is a swing-up loop (in 10K yellow gold) separately attached to allow the pin to be worn as a pendant, or to be mounted on a hatpin or pinned into the hair for evening wear. There is a 22 point round European cut genuine diamond (SI-1 clarity, G-H colour), bezel set in the center. The craftsmanship is simply superb, this pin is of the highest quality. Convertible pins were usually only sold in quite high-end jewellery shops. This (unmarked but tested and guaranteed) 15K yellow gold brooch consists of a raised fancy scrollwork front with black enamel, a circle of high quality and lustre natural pearls surrounding a central crystal enclosed compartment with a swirl of medium-brown hair, and a polished mother of pearl backing under the nicely arranged lock of hair. It measures 2-1/2" x 2", it closes with a c-clasp with its original extended pin, and it has a loop for hanging as a pendant. The unusual mother of pearl backing has wonderful pink and green fire, and this pin weighs a substantial 37.4 grams.
