This unusual and cool German mid-century modern drip glazed pottery biscuit caddy features a brown ground with bright splashes of colour as well as a finely detailed handle. It retains some of its original tag ("(ker)AMIK HANDE(?)" (probably handegemalt, German for hand made), and it is incised 11 with an inked K on the bottom. The centre figure in the tag shows it as being produced by Marzi and Remy, as this figure occasionally shows up impressed on their pottery, on pieces pre-dating 1964.
