A 19th century decorative English blue and white transfer milk jug with polychrome hand painted highlights c1850. This 5-3/4" tall jug measures 6-1/2" from spout to handle, and it has a Chinese scene design. The colours are green, teal, orange and yellow and the design is continued on the inside upper rim and spout. It has only an incised mark and a green semicircle with dot mark, and this jug is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor surface scratches to the paint at shoulder level. An Art Deco period amber crystal sautoir necklace c1920s. This 16-1/4" beauty features hollow amber crystal tube links and faceted crystal beads with gilt brass spacers and loops; the crystal drop measures 2-3/4" long with a large 5/8" wide faceted golden amber crystal bead with brass fittings. It is signed Czechoslovakia on the jump ring and it has a springring catch, and it is in very good original condition with no chips, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than a very tiny chip to the end of the large crystal, a very tiny chip to the end of one hollow tube, some minor losses to the gold plating, and some straw marks on the large crystal (all flaws minor). This is a 19th century silver and ivory 30-1/4" riding crop or whip c1870-80. The whip itself has braided and lacquered stringing over a leather core, and the 6-1/8" handle features thick and nicely tooled sterling silver work. The silver is marked STERLING 4988 and there is a tiny 1413 etched into the ivory; this item is probably American in origin, and it is in excellent original condition with no monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs; the lacquer/varnish is all-original, and there are some thin and expected age cracks to the ivory and the possible loss of a tassel on the braided end of the whip. An attractive 19thC American (or Canadian) pattern or pressed glass stoppered decanter with what appears to be an double leaf motif (one over the other) not dissimilar to a maple leaf. This 9-1/2" tall (with stopper) blown-mould decanter retains its original stopper; the detail and relief are sharp and well defined, and this unusual piece, whose maker and pattern unknown to us, is in excellent original condition with no cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some chips to the bottom of the stopper (see image). We would be happy to add the name of the pattern if any knowledgeable glass person would care to drop us an email. Although we aren't sure of the pattern name, we are sure this is antique pattern glass - it is guaranteed to be vintage glass and not a reproduction. A large, heavy and superb 19th century stickpin in 14k yellow gold, with a 40 point purplish pink rhodolite garnet and enamelling c1870-80. The garnet is claw-set in an incised star and surrounded by an enamelled six-pointed star in cobalt enamel (more purple than in our photographs). The twisted-shaft pin measures 2-3/4" long and the head of this stickpin measures 5/8" across. It weighs an impressive 6.4 grams and the stone has been checked by a gemmologist. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some old solder on the back which was added to lock the threaded shaft to the head of the pin. A stunning, top quality German 800 silver tall claret jug from the Arts and Crafts period. This c.1900 vintage claret decanter has a heavy sterling handle and hinged top with a ball thumb rest mounted on a tall ribbed cut crystal decanter. It measures 13-7/8" tall and 5-1/2" across the cut crystal base. It is stamped Gebr. Friedland, a Berlin jewellery firm, operated by the sons after the death of the founder Friedland in 1829. It has the German silver marks (post-1888 crescent & crown stamp), 800 silver, 49961 and a maker's stamp for Koch & Bergfeld of Bremen (est. 1829). There is a very finely engraved heraldic family crest with a fish, knight's helmet with three feathers and engraved scrolling. This this top quality rarity is in excellent condition with no cracks, etching or discolouration, silver corrosion or damage, repairs or alterations; there is a 1/4" chip to the crystal on the bottom rim which is only slightly noticeable when the piece is displayed from that side. A matching Italian 18k yellow gold necklace and brooch c1960s by Uno A Erre. This set consists of the 1-1/4" across brooch with a safety catch and the 17-3/4" lavaliere type necklace with a satin finish clasp (the clasp is the same design as used for pearl necklaces). Each piece has cobalt enamelled flower petals with central genuine claw-set rubies, and there are a few random spots with a soft pink enamel around the leaves. The 1" x 1-3/8" pendant has an enamelled drop with a 5.2 mm genuine cultured pearl. Each piece is stamped with a full set of Italian marks - both the 750 (18K) mark and the company city mark (1 AR for Uno A Erre of Arezzo) are in a coffin shaped mark (used in Italy before 1968) and there is an additional mark with UNO AR, which is for Uno A Erre, a highly regarded fine quality Arezzo jewellery firm. The pin weighs 5.0 grams and the necklace 9.3 grams. This set is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than two minute possible losses to the enamel on the necklace (not visible without loop, may be original to the piece). A scarce, very early photograph of a motorcyle, sidecar and riders c1905. On a late tintype (photo on treated metal blank), this 2-3/8 x 1-5/8" (view area) image consists of a young motorcycle rider astride the bike with a rather concerned-looking grandma in the sidecar. Three other ladies stand behind her, and there is an Edmonson's Red Seal Toffee pail in the middle of the road (road hazards were a little different in those days...). It comes papered into its original cardboard mount, and this image has "GRAMMA HEMO (?), BILL DORIS LEAVING FOR CANADA" in pencil on the back. It is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, scrapes, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than some light fogging or silvering on the right side of the image. A decorative, vintage and stunning handpainted and signed large toleware display or serving tray c1860. This 24-3/8 x 19-3/4" painted metal tray features a large central basket of colourful and varied flowers; it has a floreate stepped edge and the G. J. Rudolph artist's signature. We have been unable to get any information on this artist, however the painting is superb.
