An unusual and early electric surgical lamp set by the Cameron Surgical Specialty Company c1920s. Famous for their pioneering surgical and medical diagnostic and surgical lamps, this is the full kit with fittings for the ear, eye, various orifices and the odd cavity, including the head-mounted lamp as well. It includes the original 15 x 12" plush fitted case with almost the full array of original equipment. The pieces we can identify include: spreaders (yikes!), ear attachment, red bulb attachment, Vitrohm potential adjuster (looks like it screws into light sockets for power), 2 angled mirrors, printed envelope with spare bulbs, headpiece with plastic strap (the plastic has vitrified and a piece has broken off), tongue depressor in holder, angled mirror in holder (eyes or oral?), extension wall plug, stainless loops and probes in cylindrical case, 4 large blown glass extended bulbs, 2 steel brackets. There are about three empty fitted compartments from now missing items, but this set is mostly complete. The black paper covered case is in good shape with only some corner rubs, it is stamped DR. C. W. STREETS in gold, and this wonderful medical historical diagnostic artifact is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, major losses, damage or repairs. We have seen smaller kits for dedicated specialties (ears, eyes, etc.) but this appears to be the whole set in one case. Perfect for frightening your patients or for your collection. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked and insured parcel shipping to the U.S. starts at $37 (other spots may vary, xpresspost is higher). Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT accept PayPal, only VISA and MASTERCARD.

An unusual grouping of eight vintage 1940s moulded and hand painted hard rubber character figures. We haven't been able to identify the series or origin of this set (can you help?), and the largest, Dumbo, measures 2-1/4 x 2-1/2". Each has handpainted highlights in red and yellow and four have black painted shoes. This set includes the Mad Hatter, the Rabbit, Gepetto, Donald Duck, Dumbo, rabbit with heart, Red Queen, and Alice. Each of the tan/grey figures shows some soiling and minor paint wear, and all are unmarked. The detail is high quality, and this set is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than the soiling and paint losses. A great chance to obtain a very fine quality Birks sterling silver 9-1/4" tall coffee pot. This elegant table serving item is in a classic Georgian style, with an attractive baluster shape and a decorated spout and handle. It weighs 483.6 grams, it is unweighted, and it is stamped BIRKS STERLING 63/2 2 33 ORIGINAL HALL MARKED 1757 along with the hallmark date stamp for 1950. As far as we are aware, Birks does not make these beautiful sterling coffee pots any more, and if they were still available, the price would be in the thousands. It is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs - it has been very well stored and cared for. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. An impressive and superbly crafted English neo-classical revival design sterling silver centerpiece basket, fully hallmarked for Sheffeld 1910. Made by the firm James Dixon & Sons, this basket is a prime example of quality Victorian silver. It has gadrooned edges, scroll and leaf edge terminals, and berried wreath designs. This 16-3/4" x 11" beauty weighs an impressive 1010 grams (approximately 32.5 troy ounces) of sterling silver. It was presented as an award, and it has the following inscription at the center of the bowl: PRESENTED TO W.T. GENT, Esqre. J.P., IN RECOGNITION OF 30 YEARS SERVICE AS CHAIRMAN OF THE RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL OF MISTERTON 11th MARCH 1925." Mr. Gent was the Justice of the Peace of the small town and rural area of Misterton, Nottinghamshire, England, and the inscription also has the names of other council members. This basket is solidly made and heavy, and it was actually plated with sterling over the original parcel gilding (polishing has revealed gilding under polished silver areas, rather than vice-versa). As this basket was bought on the secondhand market for presentation some 15 years after its manufacture, the purchasers opted to silver over the existing gilding, which was considered somewhat ostentatious and contrary to the British taste of the day. Some of the gilding is visible on the ribbon openwork, on the upper section of the base, and on the inscription area. Further polishing will reveal the intact gilding under the thin sterling plating done probably at the time of presentation. This wonderful survivor is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the areas of exposed gilding. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Shipping is by tracked and insurable post. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. This is a genuine English sterling silver William IV teapot fully hallmarked for London, England 1837. It has fine leaf and flower repousse decoration throughout and it stands on four fancy feet. It has the maker's mark for the respected English silversmith firm of Edward, Edward Jr., John and W. Barnard and it weighs an impressive 810 grams. This excellent survivor is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a dent on one panel at the shoulder and some looseness at the insulating spacer at the top of the handle from an old repair (the handle wobbles a little). A truly unusual and futuristic looking Victorian silver plated cigar table lighter. This globular 3-1/2" tall smoking accessory stands on ball feet and it has two wick clamps for lighting the cigars. It worked like this: the central wick continually burned whilst the smoker would pull out one clamp which had a fluid-soaked small length of wick clamped in the tweezer. This was lit in the flame, carried to the cigar, and then extinguished and reinserted in its well to soak it for the next cigar. Each tweezer/clamp has a sliding collar to squeeze onto the wick, and this unusual item has the maker's mark for Hirons, Plante & Co. (c1878-1882) of Birmingham, England. This lighter is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than seven shallow dents on the body. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
