A Victorian 18K gentleman's chrysoprase signet seal ring, fully hallmarked for London, England 1860 1861. This antique size 5-1/2 or 5.5yellow gold ring has an inset green stone which measures 1/2" x 3/8" . The initials are carved en intaglio and are either PG or GP, and this Victorian ring has a CG&S maker's mark. It weighs 7.7 grams, and it is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the expected patina from use and its age and some shallow surface scratches to the stone. An antique Art Nouveau period Scottish sterling silver two piece belt buckle, depicting the Green Man, a well known creature from ancient United Kingdom mythology. He is associated with birth and re-birth, and the coming of spring. Wide silver buckles of this size - 4-3/4" x 2-3/8" - in solid silver, silver plate or gold were often presented to a young graduate nurses by their families or by consultants at the hospital they were then working as graduate nurses, as their badge was the wide black belt of their nursing uniform. One of my nurse friends who trained in the UK says this practice was still usual into the 1950s. This buckle is fully hallmarked for Glasgow, Scotland 1897-8 and it has the maker's mark for (possibly) James Forest. It weighs 47.8 grams, and this late Victorian period vintage beauty is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A 19th century Scottish sterling silver agate pebble brooch. This antique 1-1/2" across traditional pin in the form of a hand-engraved sash with crescent. The stones include bloodstone, jasper and another green agate. This pin is unsigned (typical of Scottish pieces) and it tests as silver. A wonderful gift! This is a stylish and opulent 17-3/4" necklace in 14k yellow gold, set with genuine diamonds and genuine deep blue sapphires. The pendant itself measures 2" across and 1-3/8" long; it is set with 40 claw-set diamonds totalling approximately 90 points. It also has four deep blue sapphires - the three facetted oval stones on the drop measure 5 mm x 4 mm. and the round at the top is 3 mm. across. All are bezel set, and the pendant is pinioned giving movement to each "wing" segment, the drops and the individual stones. It has a lobster claw closure, it is stamped 585 MEGA D'OR 478 on the loop and 14K on the clasp. An Edwardian period 14k yellow gold peridot and seed pearls lavaliere necklace circa 1900 1910. This elegant antique lavalliere necklace measures 14-1/2" long. The drop pendant is 2-3/4" across and 2" long. The peridot and seed pearls are genuine gem stones. The two chains, one with a spring-ring catch, measure 6" each, and this necklace weighs 4.3 grams. It is stamped 14 K on the clasp and on the back, and this lavalier is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. There is a little surface grime visible on the peridot which has since been cleaned off - it is a clear and bright gem stone. A fine quality and likely late vintage Meiji-Taishō era 4-3/8" tall Japanese porcelain hand painted vase, by the renowned Fukagawa Porcelain Company firm of Japan, c1900-20. This vase has a blue tassel and two painted small floral groups in gold, green, orange and black. There is a gold upper rim. The mark is the Mount Fuji and stream with the Fukagawa signature, identified on gotheborg.com as being is used from 1900-20. We were also informed this was purchased in the 1920s. The darkness under the base is old glue from an applies felt bottom which is no longer present (we will clean the glue residue before shipment).
