A pair of (typically) unmarked Majestic Japanned wood and brass table lamps c1950s. The black painted wood includes the 7 x 4-1/2" base with a crescent moon mounted on the brass upright with a brass ball separating it from the base. They stand 17-1/2" tall including the 12 x 6-1/2" shades, which are of fiberglass with plastic stringing on the borders and a wire cage for mounting on the lightbulb. They have their original cords with Leviton sockets with inspection stickers, and both lamps work. A wonderfully executed Arts and Crafts period sterling silver 3-3/4 x 1-1/2" small box, fully hallmarked for London, England 1904. Made by Corke Bros. & Co., this box has hand-hammered panels with fleur-de-lis decoration and long hinges, and it resembles a pirate chest. It has a chained pin which inserts into a loop with hasp and a tooled and mounted escutcheon on the top. The interior is gilded, and this lovely jewel box weighs 80.4 grams.
