A great looking "Yardlong" advertising advertisement in the original frame, featuring Mary Pickford. Yardlongs were framed prints depicting lovers, ladies and personalities on the front, and monochrome advertising on the back, usually with calendars. This example was designed by Gene Pressler and it has the legend SINCERELY MARY PICKFORD 1923 POMPEIAN BEAUTY PANEL BY GENE PRESSLER. The image size is 26-3/4 x 7-1/4", and the frame measures 28-1/4 x 8-3/4". This advettising piece for soaps and perfumes is uncut, unlike many examples, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, foxing, fading, rips or tears, losses, damage or repairs other than some minor creases to the paper. A fine pair of 5" across (4-1/2" sight size) Dutch polychrome Delft tiles in later wooden frames. The frames are cream painted wood. The tiles have floral designs on a grey pottery ground, tulip and sunflower we believe. The colours include orange, green and blue, and they date from c1625-50. This pair is in very good vintage condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some darkened crazing, some original surface pitting from the firing and original corner holes through the glaze (and some glue residue on the back from previous mounting of the tiles). All

A scarce and unusual 1950s kitsch kitchenware ceramic cooler with lid. This red striped lidded two piece container has a place for a spigot (not present), and it has a black COOLER on a banner on the front. It has a partially obscured number and COUNTRY CLUB on the bottom. This cooler is missing these details, but we have has other pieces in this line - which are usually also marked Designed by Yona, and sometimes retain their Shafford sticker. It is painted, not transfer, and it measures 10" high. It is in very good condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a paint fleck where the spigot or cork would have been inserted and a glaze flake or miss on the upper rim. A 1-5/16" wide signed Birks sterling silver hand-engraved bangle bracelet c1950s-60s. This bracelet features nice engraving on the front side, it has a safety chain and box clasp, and it has the B in hexagon Birks maker's mark. It measures 2-3/8 x 2-1/4" across the interior, and it weighs 44.4 grams, and it comes with the original blue cardboard Birks fitted box with a satin-like interior. A vintage attractive Art Deco period 14k white gold c1920s, featuring a fine heart-shaped natural jade bezel-set stone. This size 6-1/2 ring measures 5/8" x 9/16" across the top, and it is stamped 14K. An Edwardian period 14K yellow gold size 7-1/4 ring with natural peridots and seed pearls c1900-10. This pretty antique ring measures 5/8" x 1/4" across the top, it is stamped 14 (maker's mark) K, and it weighs 2.8 grams. The peridots and seed pearls are genuine stones - the peridots are rose cut. Two pearls are half-pearls or seed pearls and one is a full round pearl. The pearl lustre is very good, and they are a fair colour match. The centre pearl, which is larger and higher, appears a lot lighter in our pictures, but that may have been caused by our camera flash. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. A scarce first printing two volume set on Canadian West Coast totem poles by Marinus Barbeau. These 9-3/4 x 6-1/2" softcover books have 880 pages over the two volumes, both with maps, notes and multitudes of black and white photographs. They were published by the National Museum of Canada and published by Edmond Clautier in 1950. Included is an Errata sheet, and this set is in excellent condition with no staining, tears, folds, foxing, missing pages or damage, other than some minor spine creases, some slight edge rubs on the spine, and a couple of minor tears to the spine tops (see images). An expertly decorated Meiji period 19th century 4-3/8" across and 1-7/8" tall Japanese Satsuma bowl. This bowl features a cobalt blue ground with lush gold highlights inside and out. The interior has a well-painted Geisha scene in an assortment of colours. A 16-3/8" signed Sherman rhinestone necklace with pale and navy blue claw-set rhinestones. Full of sparkle as you would expect from Sherman pieces, this necklace has five arcs of rhinestones.
