| A true cameo rarity. This is a vintage 19th century hand-carved pink coral unset cameo of a high relief dog. Superbly detailed, and more a sculpture than a simple cameo, this 1 x 3/4" piece of art is unsigned, and it has a slight pinkish hue. It is 5/16" at its thickest, and it is in excellent condition with no chips, losses, damage or repairs other than a tight stress crack above the dog's head which doesn't disturb the surface of the coral. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
