|A lovely framed 10-1/2" x 6-1/2" (image size only) landscape watercolour on paper painting titled "Rosemary" (1948) by Jessie Redd Ursenbach of Alberta, Canada (1895-1987). Rosemary is a village in Southern Alberta, located approximately halfway between Medicine Hat and Calgary. Jessie R. Ursenbach was born in Utah, and moved to Alberta in 1905. She attended the Banff School of Fine Arts and the Ontario College of Arts in Toronto. She studied with A.Y. Jackson of the famed Group of Seven, and Walter J. Phillips. Her works are in university and museum collections, including the National Gallery of Canada. This painting is in a 14-3/4" x 11" frame with non-glare glass. It is in excellent condition with no fading, foxing, tears (except on the back paper), losses, damage or repairs. Signed Jessie R Ursenbach lower right.
