A fine gold filled horse or equestrian gold filled mesh watch chain fob from around 1900. This late Victorian or early Edwardian man's fashion accessory consists of a fine chain with a swivel attached to the pocket clip mount; a mesh strip has a metal mount from which is suspended half of a photo locket which has a high relief horse surrounded by a horseshoe mounted with flashy white rhinestones. All components are rose gold coloured except the locket which is yellow gold filled. It was a fine decorative idea for a man's watch pocket and this is one of the most attractive fobs we've seen. It is 9" long and 1-1/2" wide and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the fitting of the half-locket to the fob. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use.
