|A large, heavy and superb 19th century stickpin in 14k yellow gold, with a 40 point purplish pink rhodolite garnet and enamelling c1870-80. The garnet is claw-set in an incised star and surrounded by an enamelled six-pointed star in cobalt enamel (more purple than in our photographs). The twisted-shaft pin measures 2-3/4" long and the head of this stickpin measures 5/8" across. It weighs an impressive 6.4 grams and the stone has been checked by a gemmologist. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some old solder on the back which was added to lock the threaded shaft to the head of the pin. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted. Surface shipping is $6 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US.|
