| A rare late 19th century majolica pottery figurine of a musical frog, signed Jerome Massier Vallauris, France. Massier's factory closed in 1902 and this figurine dates to the late 1800s. It depicts a 5" tall frog playing a lute with folky hand painted details. This item is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than the following: small chips to the ends of the toes, small glaze flakes on the lower lip, lute neck at the end, frog's wrist and back rim (all small and quite minor) and a glaze loss on both eyes (one small loss and one large). Such minor damage is common to majolica and this figure remains in fine condition original. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping to the continental U.S. starts at $8.50 (other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. NOTE: we do not accept PayPal. | |||||||||
