An attractive vintage late Victorian period silver plated 6-1/2" long posey holder - also known as a tussie-mussie - c1890-1900. This holder has fine filigree work and a butterflies motif. It retains the original guard finger ring and chain, and it would be perfect at your wedding or formal dance. This item is in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than the loss of the chain with flower spike or pin (which pierces the openwork to keep a grip on the actual flower posey) and a minor touch of brass blush from wear to the silver plating. A vintage Spanish silver handled tasetvin (wine sampling cup) with an inset silver Spanish coin in the bottom. This 2-5/8" diameter cup has an attached handle with a thumbrest; the coin is dated 1857 and it has a value of 20 Reales. The Spanish silver hallmark indicates a minimum silver content of .915, and this serving piece weighs 66.6 grams.
