A cool and vintage French Art Deco Bakelite and rhinestone pin c1920s-30s. This 2 x 1-3/8" pin features mottled green and black horn-shaped "stones" of carved Bakelite in imitation of jade and onyx; it also has two large claw-set closed-back flashy rhinestones. It has silverplated hooks on the front and a screw-mounted setting with a blackened finish on the back, which has the original c-clasp. An unusual Art Deco period vintage 2-5/8" across the red/brown celluloid or bakelite bangle bracelet c1920-30, with flashy pink rhinestones. The original colour of this bangle would have been an uncommon deep pink, but vintage celluloid and bakelite do deepen in colour over the years, so the colour is now a warm toffee amber-brown shade with remnants of the pink colour visible. This bangle measures 3/16" wide and 3/16" thick, and the interior wall to wall measurement is 2-9/16" across. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other the darkening of three pink stones. Please note that the celluloid is a deeper pink/brown than in our light pictures, not red. This 2-3/4 x 1-1/4" frond-shaped brooch features flashy rhinestones set into a carved and painted pale yellow mottled bakelite base. It has black painted leaves, white painted highlights and ribs and green and white dots. A scarce deep navy blue bakelite two piece brass mounted leaf-form belt buckle c1920s-30s. This buckle consists of two 1-7/8" x 1-5/8" dark blue bakelite segments, both deeply carved with a star and wavy border. Navy blue bakelite is possibly one of the least commonly seen colours in single coloured period bakelite items. A vintage unusual 1930s painted cream coloured celluloid three part brooch or pin in the shape of two hockey skates and a hockey stick. The four components, including the bar pin, are linked by silver metal loops, and it measures 2-7/8" x 1-3/4" at rest. Each piece swings freely with nice action and the hockey components are hand painted with bright red (the "leather" sections of the skates and the puck) and the blades are painted in silver. This item is in excellent condition with only some very slight paint losses and some minor soiling (easily cleaned off).
