A highly unusual 5-7/8" ruffled edge candy dish by the Irish Belleek factory, featuring a fully hand painted scene of an Irish cottage. This beautiful and early example has the second black mark (1891-1926), and it has a written 16 on the back. This item is in very good original condition with no cracks, crazing, losses, damage or repairs other than a 1/16" chip on the very end of a ruffle (just visible from the front) and a shallow flake to the back of another (see images). This hard-to-find mustard pot measures 2-7/8" diameter (excluding handle), it has gorgeous repousse work with clover leaves and it includes an unmarked 3-5/8" silver plate shell pattern mustard spoon. This vanity item has the Byzanta stamp, an impressed 8 and a gold handwritten 4862 pattern number.
