An attractive 3-7/8" high open hatpin holder c1920s. This holder features attractive hand painting and gold trim, and it is from the Byzanta Ware line, issued by Royal Winton Grimwades of England. This vanity item has the Byzanta stamp, an impressed 8 and a gold handwritten 4862 pattern number. This item is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs other than some very slight rubs to the gold on the upper rim and some overall crazing. The interior and exterior lustre is intact and bright. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. A lovely Arts and Crafts era English pottery bowl or planter made by Bretby. This 3-1/2" tall and 6-3/8" diameter bowl has a lovely light green glaze at the top graduating to a deeper moss green on the bottom; it has the Bretby mark, MADE IN ENGLAND and the 1644D pattern mark stamped into the bottom. This item is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, repairs or damage other than some very fine allover crazing.
