|A scarce 4-1/4" vintage late 1930s-mid 1940s stoppered glass perfume bottle with the original label. This company was in business in Monte Carlo for a very short time, from the late 1930s to the mid-1940s. The label has losses but the Mary Grayo name is mostly quite legible; the bottle is molded with a 45 on the bottom. It has remnants of the original perfume, which must have smelled wonderful in its day. Mary Grayo perfumes seem in most cases to be designed to be worn when wearing a fur coat, to prevent the natural scent of fur coats from being obvious - many of the perfumes they produced refer to specific types of fur (silver fox, beaver, etc.). This is the first Mary Grayo perfume bottle we have owned, previously only have seen the company advertising. This bottle is in fair condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs other than the losses, split and fading to the label and the loss of the dabbing rod on the stopper. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use. Expedited tracked insured shipping to the U.S. starts at $20 (other spots may vary, air is higher) - tracking and insurance are included in shipping quotes. Items paid with a credit card will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. PLEASE NOTE: we DO NOT accept PayPal, only VISA and MASTERCARD.|
