| A 6" attractive vintage Art Nouveau sterling soft cheese scoop in the International Frontenac pattern. This serving piece has the marks for Ryrie Brothers of Canada - many U.S. silver companies made silver plate and sterling patterns for them. The pattern was introduced in 1903 by International, and this piece was made for Ryrie Brothers of Toronto by International. It has the Ryrie mark and stamp. Birks bought out Ryrie Brothers of Toronto in the early 1920s, and the mark changed to Ryrie Birks soon after that. Birks did keep the Ryrie name as part of theirs until about 1941, but as this piece has the original Ryrie Bros. marks only, it would date to before 1930 at latest. This item is in excellent original condition with no scrapes, dents, monograms, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are secondhand and may have slight signs of gentle use. Surface shipping is $6 (to the US - other spots may vary) - insured is higher, and mandatory on items over $85 if paid with a credit card; credit card items will be shipped to confirmed addresses only. We do ship internationally. All of our prices are in $US. | ||
