This is a Pre-Columbian MOCHICA Ear FLARE from Peru, 250 - 800 A.D. It measures about 7/8" X 7/8" X 1 1/8" ( 2.2 cm X 2.2 cm X 2.9 cm ). The Mochica Culture was located between the valleys of Lambayeque and Huarmey, in the North Coast of Peru. Mochicas were a theocratic civilization.
