| This is a Set of two beautiful Japanese Dolls from the MEIJI DYNASTY. Meiji was the Emperor of Japan for 45 years; his reign went from Oct 23rd 1868 to July 30th 1912. During this era, Japan became more industrilized and achieved the status of World Power. The Meiji Period stands for "Enlightened Rule". Emperor Taisho took over the throne after Meiji's death in 1912. These dolls measure about 6 3/4" X 5" X 3 1/4" ( 17 cm X 12.7 cm X 8.3 cm ). They are nicely dressed up with silk kimonos of elaborate design. The faces, hands, and feet of the dolls are made of porcelain. This set of dolls come with a wooden stage that measures 11 7/8" X 7" X 1 7/8" ( 31 cm X 17.7 cm X 4.8 cm). | ||
