This is a great double page wood engraving image from a scarce 1865 issue of Frank Leslies newspaper.It shows 27 different fire engines used in New York and names them all.It is in great cond. with a few minor spots and wrinkles. Leslies weekly paper is much rarer than Harper's Weekly. There is only one complete set in institutions in the US. This is the best image of this type you will ever find.

This is a rare 1963 Russian travel poster from 1963 when almost no one got to go to Russia. From the estate of a new york millionaire who went there on a business trip with Henry Luce of Time fame.In cond b with a tiny paper loss in the sky a 1/4th inch tear on left edge and some wrinkling to part of left and most of right side edge. There is some camera glare in the sky.

This is a great plate from a scarce book called THE ANCIENT COSTUME OF ENGLAND.It shows a pair of fools or jesters as the would have looked in the mid 12th century.The sheet size is 16 by 12. It is in very nice condition with i pin head size spot.This was published by Colnaghi&co in London in 1813. The original image was by Charles Smith,the engraver was I. Atkinson and the aquatinters were Havell and Hill. A very scarce image in original color.

This is a Currier&Ives medium folio lithograph print of Lincoln sold after he was shot.Matt opening is 11 by 14 1/2 + margins.The print has one small tear into the left side but not into the image. There are a few small spots in the paper but no staining or partial toning.

This is a great large 33 1/2 by16 poster size calendar by well known pin up artist Rolf Armstrong. The Clemans truck line from down south is printed in reflective beads.There is some damage to the bottom of the calendar below the full pad.the paper was torn or cracked across most of the bottom with a loss on the right side.Rest is very clean and is a great display item

This is a nice early engraved map showing Mexico,Texas,and California with some nice small pics in the border. including gold washing,Mexican peasantry,and ruins at Uxmal Yucatan.Size is13 by10 +margins.It is in ex. cond. but was folded in center.Hand colored outlines that show the map makers did not know what the borders of states would be.Matted and shrink wrapped.

This is a wonderful original hand colored lithograph by Currier and Ives from the 1870's.The paper size is 13 1/2 by 17 3/4 and the print is in very nice condition with some very minor spots of foxing in the margins. This was stored in a trunk since the 1870's so colors are very fresh. One of a group of these we have up. We have over 200 Currier's in stock!

This is a original gouache illustration by Bill Griffith for the August 1955 issue of Sports Afield.The story was the Saga of the Red Wolf.The art is 11 by 12 1/2+ margins and has been framed in a simple wood frame 17 1/2 by 18 1/2.Picture is in good condition but has some small spots on the right side and a light one near top center.I presume it sat around for a time before being framed.Griffith worked for Sports Afield for a number of years. He did cover art and interior illustrations.

This is one of the nicer large woodcuts of Homers works from Harper's Weekly. One of his earliest lg 2 page scenes.This is from the January 28 1860 issue. It is folded as usual with a few small center holes from having been bound at one time. Otherwise it is in remarkably clean condition with no foxing. It is matted in a cream color acid free mat.
