This is a large wall map dated 1843 by Phelp's and Ensign a New York map maker before the Civil War.It is 26 by 38 and would have originally been a roll up wall map.It is currently framed in a simple wide black moulding under plexiglass as we found it. This is a great original bronze statue of a bull by the famous french artist P.J.Mene. He is well known for his Animalier sculptures.This has a scarce greenish colored patina that is in great condition with just a few areas of slight wear as to be expected on a 125 + years old casting.Size is 5 3/4 inches tall 9 1/2 inches long and 3 1/2 deep.If you collect animal or bovine subject matter this would be a great addition to your collection.
