This is a absolutely stunning Norwegian travel poster.It would date around 1929 as we found it with several other posters dated 1929.The colors are very bright and rich more so than my photo.The art work is by Arent Christensen for the Norwegian State Railways. It was printed in Oslo.I will call it A- condition. There is a small pin hole in each corner and a small tear in the top center in the blue sky...

This is a fabulous bronze plaque by the best French Fondeur Barbedienne. It is a scene from Fontaines fables. 10 1/2 by 8 3/4 inches heavy casting fine detail. Mercie is listed in Bermans. Circa 1870's. This is pictured in Art Bronzes by Michael Wolf page 47. Shown at the Salon of 1875.

This is a Drypoint Etching by the well known American artist Peggy Bacon.1895-1987. It is titled and signed in pencil Hatty. Bacon is known for her humorous and ironic images and was a prolific artist.This image measures 5 1/2 by 8 1/2 image area+margins and is framed in a simple gold and black frame. The image is in very nice condition with no foxing toning or mat burn.Bacon studied under John Sloan And George Bellows among others. There is some glare in my pics from the glass.

This is a wonderful very large 1859 tinted lithograph of the Review of Massachusetts Volunteer Militia at Concord Ma. September 9 1859.The prints visual size is 29 1/2 by 45 and with the original black walnut frame it is 36 by 52.This also has the original glass with some bubble imperfections. This is a nice original watercolor by the well listed English artist George Stanfield Walters 1838-1924.It is in its original frame.I do not know the harbor but there is enough details that it could be figured out.It is in ex. original condition. His watercolors have sold as high as $3000.00+. He is well known as a port and ship painter. Image is 13 by 19 1/2 with frame size is 28 by 21.

This is a rare large woodblock engraving from a 1851 issue of the Illustrated London News.It is 28 by 37 1/2. It was folded as usual to put in the paper. It is in very good cond. with no tears or fold separations.There are a few light brown spots on the lower part of the print. I dont think you will find a copy in better cond. This is a rare early 1929 poster for the AMERICAN REBILD PARK in Denmark.There is still a big celebration every year on the 4th of July at this park and there are several groups of friends of the park in the United States.The colors on this are fantastic very vivid and bright. This is a wonderful large 16 by 14 inch chromo ad. for Dixons Carburet of Iron Stove Polish. It was published in 1858 by Sarony Major & Knapp a famous large New York city Lithography firm. I believe this was a proof print as it came out of a large scrap book we bought years ago that was all prints from this firm. It seemed to be a job book with things they had been doing...

This is a wonderful cabinet size art glass vase by the well known firm Harrach from Bohemia. It is 5 inches tall and in perfect condition. It has relief enameled orchids on 3 sides of the vase.a similar vase was sold at Dorotheum on March 8th 2012 lot 161 for 563.00 euros. Ours seems to have nicer decoration.

This is a nice bronze statue of a Borzoi by the listed artist Ugo Cipriani. It is 9 1/2 inches tall with the base and about 9 inches long. This is in excellent condition and is signed on the base.It would be circa 1920/30 vintage.Works by this artist are scarce. I found 3 bronze examples searching the net.Most of the Cipriani clan worked in stone not bronze. If you collect dog statues or Borzoi items this would be a great addition to your collection.

This is a original 1857 tinted lithograph print of the Gustavus Bergner's Brewery at 239 Dock St.in Philadelphia Pa.This was printed by Traubel in 1857.Size is 12 1/2 by 18 1/4. This is a rare large format mezzotint engraving of Major General Winfield Scott. It would have been published in the 1820"s or earlier. Thomas Gimbrede the artist was an engraver at West Point during this time period.The publisher was William S Reddin of New York and the printer was J&G Neale.This is a large 13 1/2 by 10 3/4 image size with wide plate margins and is about 16 by 20 overall. This engraving is in wonderfull condition and appears to have never been framed...

This is a scare engraving of Robert E Lee by William Sartain circa 1865. It was published in Philadelphia.The paper measures 13 by 16+. I only found two other copies of this print for sale and both were trimmed well inside the plate mark.In remarkable fresh and clean condition.I do not think it was ever framed. It was photographed while shrink wrapped so there is ghosting on my photos. A very scarce image of Lee.

This is a nice Pre 1860 French bronze of a young man harvesting wheat. He most likely was a clock statue.He is in nice original condition and was cast in two sections. There is a small hole at the base of the wheat bundle which may have held another part on the statue but it does not seem like it would have needed anything else in the composition.This is 9 1/2 tall by 10 inches wide.

This is a original large folio aquatint with hand coloring of a Glossy Ibis bird by Prideaux John Selby. It is hand colored and is dated 1826 in the watermark in the paper.This print is in wonderful fresh condition as it has never been framed before.The paper size is aprox. 24 by 18.
