This is a nice early engraved map showing Mexico,Texas,and California with some nice small pics in the border. including gold washing,Mexican peasantry,and ruins at Uxmal Yucatan.Size is13 by10 +margins.It is in ex. cond. but was folded in center.Hand colored outlines that show the map makers did not know what the borders of states would be.Matted and shrink wrapped.

This is a nice early water color painting American school of a group of flowers. This is extremely finely done.It is on a stiff white paper.Matt opening is 6 1/2 by 9 + margins. I found this in New England.It is whiter than my photo shows.

This is a rare large woodblock engraving from a 1851 issue of the Illustrated London News.It is 28 by 37 1/2. It was folded as usual to put in the paper. It is in very good cond. with no tears or fold separations.There are a few light brown spots on the lower part of the print. I dont think you will find a copy in better cond. This is an interesting lithographic print of the Presidents of the United States up till that time. I have never seen this print before and there is no printer listed in the margins.The top is trimmed to the margin and the other three sides have 1/4 inch margins. A small piece of paper has been reset in the word united at the bottom and there are a couple of small tears on the right side edge. All in all a very presentable print for this early period and very scarce. It is 13 1/2 by 18 1/2

This is a great large 20 x13+lg margins chromolithograph from the 1887 limited edition book Ancient Egypt by S Binion.It was published by American Polutecnic Co in Buffalo NY. Only 800 copies were printed. matted and wrapped. I have several other prints from this set.

This is a wonderful very large 1859 tinted lithograph of the Review of Massachusetts Volunteer Militia at Concord Ma. September 9 1859.The prints visual size is 29 1/2 by 45 and with the original black walnut frame it is 36 by 52.This also has the original glass with some bubble imperfections. This is a very rare [one of 2 known] ice cream set with hand painted scenes of imaginary polar exploration.Created around 1870 the scenes are derived from illustrations in Jules Verne novels by Edward Riou. The unmarked dishes are believed to have been made in France and then decorated in this country. The other set like this was featured in a article about Arctic Imagery in the February 2007 issue of the magazine Antiques on page 78...

This is a scarce large 31 by 23 inch map of what was called the great west in 1848 printed by Ensign and Thayer in New York and it is from around 1848.Condition is quite good for a map printed on a thin paper stock.There is a piece of paper missing in the border of Michigan and there is some wrinkling from being rolled up at one time. There is a small water stain below the border on the bottom right that would not show if this was matted. A rare map that I guarantee to be of the period.

This is a nice original watercolor by the well listed English artist George Stanfield Walters 1838-1924.It is in its original frame.I do not know the harbor but there is enough details that it could be figured out.It is in ex. original condition. His watercolors have sold as high as $3000.00+. He is well known as a port and ship painter. Image is 13 by 19 1/2 with frame size is 28 by 21.

This is a wonderful period 1860's or earlier bronze sculpture by William Beattie a Englishman who exhibited at the royal academy in 1864.He was born in 1810 died 1870.I did find some listing for Parian sculptures that he did. He is listed in the major art books but they do not have very much info on him.This statue is 15 inches tall,and the stone base is 5 1/2 across.It was cast by J. Toy & Son Birmingham England. This one of a kind bronze was stolen from our shop...

This is a large original litho of U.S.Grant with small pics around a large viginette of him. It is 24 1/2 by 19 1/4 and was printed by Kurz&allison's art studio in chicago. There is no staining or missing parts but this was rolled at one time and shows some wrinkling mostly at top and bottom.A very presentable print and very scarce.I will be glad to send more pics.

This is a great late 19th century large size copy of the famous statue Venus De Milo. It has the seal of A. Collas Reduction Mecanique set in the back and was cast at the F. Barbedienne foundry.This is a hard to find large size. 37 1/2 inches tall. It is in wonderful condition with a pleasing rich brown finish. It is numbered underneath 116 and also has ink numbers in the underside. One just like it sold in Paris at Sotheby's in 2004 for over $12000.00...
