This is a nice Pre 1900 French bronze of a classical woman that is signed by the well listed French artist Paul Dubois.She stands resting on a column with a compass in her hand.She is in very nice condition with some age appropriate wear. This is a large Chinese Export hand carved wood frame. We would date it 1820's to 1850's. Probably a type of sandalwood the out side is 44 1/2 by 33 inches the inner rabbit is 35 3/4 by 23 5/8th inches. The wood is about 3/4th inches thick. The carving on this is incredible. All 4 sides have different scenes carved in them. The top has 8 figures planting crops. the sides each have groups of 5 in a garden below a temple with another figure in it...

This is a scare engraving of Robert E Lee by William Sartain circa 1865. It was published in Philadelphia.The paper measures 13 by 16+. I only found two other copies of this print for sale and both were trimmed well inside the plate mark.In remarkable fresh and clean condition.I do not think it was ever framed. It was photographed while shrink wrapped so there is ghosting on my photos. A very scarce image of Lee.

We could find no auction records for this figure and could only find a Couple pictured that did not have the eagle at the base. This is a great plate from a scarce book called THE ANCIENT COSTUME OF ENGLAND.It shows a pair of fools or jesters as the would have looked in the mid 12th century.The sheet size is 16 by 12. It is in very nice condition with i pin head size spot.This was published by Colnaghi&co in London in 1813. The original image was by Charles Smith,the engraver was I. Atkinson and the aquatinters were Havell and Hill. A very scarce image in original color.
