This is a scarce very large 24 by 32 tinted lithograph of Henry Clay. It was drawn on stone by Lafosse after the Daguerreotype by M. Brady in 1856. This is a scare engraving of Robert E Lee by William Sartain circa 1865. It was published in Philadelphia.The paper measures 13 by 16+. I only found two other copies of this print for sale and both were trimmed well inside the plate mark.In remarkable fresh and clean condition.I do not think it was ever framed. It was photographed while shrink wrapped so there is ghosting on my photos. A very scarce image of Lee.
