This is a bronze bust of CAESAR AGUSTUS.It is signed by the maker BENEDETTO BOSCHETTI ROMA. He lived from 1820 to 1860 and is well listed with a large number of bronzes in the art price guides.I could only find one comparable in size of Marc Antony and that one realized $2900.00. He did this bust in at least two sizes.Ours is the smaller version at 11 3/4 inches tall.This is in nice original condition with no dings or scratches.A nice example of a grand tour item!

This is a early colored lithograph of the encampment of the 25th mass infantry during the civil war.There are 3 small creases in the paper in the top edge,some toning and a couple of tiny fox spots . This is a wonderful period 1860's or earlier bronze sculpture by William Beattie a Englishman who exhibited at the royal academy in 1864.He was born in 1810 died 1870.I did find some listing for Parian sculptures that he did. He is listed in the major art books but they do not have very much info on him.This statue is 15 inches tall,and the stone base is 5 1/2 across.It was cast by J. Toy & Son Birmingham England. This is a nice circa 1930 bronze statue of a Chamois Goat on a naturalistic rock base. It stands 12 inches tall by 7 wide.The statue has excellent detail and the patina is in excellent condition. The base is carved marble.The base seems to be signed Duru but we can find no listing of an artist by this name.Animalier

This is a nice colored etching by the well listed artist and designer Leon R. Pescheret.He had a studio in Whitewater Wi. for a number of years and produced a large body of work.His etchings are in the collections of quite a few major museums.Plate size is about 9 by 12 + margins. Currently in its original 1942 silver frame which is 17 by 20. It is matted but I see no mat burns. The print is in excellent condition and color.

This is a large and dramatic 23 by 29 inch oil on canvas military painting by Ernest Crofts 1847-1911 signed and dated 1867. He is well listed and known for his military paintings.He did a lot of scenes of Waterloo. I am not sure if this is from there or not. The flag he is holding should be able to decide that.This painting was cleaned and laid down on another canvas quite awhile ago...

This is a unusual large allegorical chromolithograph of Young America during the Civil War.I believe he is dressed in the style of the Zouave outfits.The print is by Sarony Major & Knapp of New York who were one of the best lithography firms in the country.This litho would date to the beginnings of the civil war.It has never seen the light of day till know as we found it in a section of a large scrap book which seems to have been a job book for the Sarony co.This is a large print measuring 21 by...

This is a nice watercolor painting of a coastal village by the very well listed British artist John Hamilton Glass 1820-1885. This has nice vibrant colors and is in ex.cond. Size is 9 by 14 + mat.His specialty was harbour and coastal scenes.

A wonderful early hand colored map of California from 1855.18 by 15 in mint cond.These early maps are becoming quite hard to find.

This is a large 55 high by 5 ft wide wall map of the United States of America printed in 1853 by Colton.It is paper mounted on linen and has its original wood strips. There is some wrinkling from rolling a couple of splits and a chip of paper missing in the Gulf of Mexico. Some one put some scotch magic tape in several places mostly at the bottom...
