This is a scarce large format 26 by 20 chromolithograph done in 1885 by the L. Prang co. Boston. It is titled Grant from West Point to Appomattox. There are 2 creases about 6 inches long, one going across Grants forehead and one in the bottom center picture.Other than that this print is in fine shape with no stains or soiling. I do not think it was ever framed. A striking and scarce large print of U.S. Grant by the best print maker of the time.

This is a scarce large 31 by 23 inch map of what was called the great west in 1848 printed by Ensign and Thayer in New York and it is from around 1848.Condition is quite good for a map printed on a thin paper stock. There is a piece of paper missing in the border of Michigan and there is some wrinkling from being rolled up at one time. There is a small water stain below the border on the bottom right that would not show if this was matted. A rare map that I guarantee to be of the period.

The unmarked dishes are believed to have been made in France and then decorated in this country. The other set like this was featured in a article about Arctic Imagery in the February 2007 issue of the magazine Antiques on page 78...
