| This is one of the greatest fruit prints of all time and is in excellent cond. George Brookshaw produced the finest book on fruits and flowers ever produced Pomona Britannica. Everything was done in aquatint printed in colors and hand finished with a dark backround.Most plates show several items so the single fruit plates are very limited. The paper is watermarked 1804 and the plate is dated 1807 which makes this a plate from the early edition in parts before the book edition came out in 1812. I can only find one other copy of this print for sale in the world and its $9500.00 unframed. Ours is matted acid free and framed in a solid birdseye frame. | ||
