| This is a wonderful very large 1859 tinted lithograph of the Review of Massachusetts Volunteer Militia at Concord Ma. September 9 1859.The prints visual size is 29 1/2 by 45 and with the original black walnut frame it is 36 by 52.This also has the original glass with some bubble imperfections. Condition of the paper is very good with no tears. There is a shallow water stain to the right side of the print and one tiny pin prick hole in the sky.As a tinted litho it would not be to hard to have the stain removed by a conservator although it displays fairly well as is.I would presume this to be a fairly rare print and it says proof in the left bottom. It was printed by Endicott litho co n.y.and was done by J. Bachelder who did a lot of neat historical prints around the Civil War time period. It says Nathaniel Banks was the commander and Major general wool was the head honcho. The detail on this is incredible. We can arrange shipping to the east coast area on our truck. | ||
