| This fine child's paddle comes from the Middle Sepik River area of Papua New Guinea. Existing in this riverine environment meant depending on the use of a canoe, and children as young as 3 or 4 years of age were given small versions of craft and paddles to help sharpen their skills on the water. Hardwood with deep, rich red-brown, aged patina. Early-mid 20th century. 40.50"L. Fine condition with softened and well-handled surface. | ||||||
