A fine wooden Namji doll
An expressive and detailed surrogate child example with multiple strands of glass beads attached. The deeply patinated surface shows good age and handling. 9"H x 4.50"W, the figure is somewhat poorly mounted on an old acrylic base. Early-mid 20th C, from Cameroon, West Africa. Pure abstraction of the human form. Provenance: A. Finard collection, Paris, 1980's.
