An excellent Kwere flywhisk
The handle of this well-used flywhisk is in the form of 'Mwana hiti,'or "child of wood", often found in north-central, coastal Tanzania. It dates to the early-mid 20th C, and measures 23"L, including the animal hair attachment. Very fine condition with glowing deep and varied brown patina on the handle. Provenance: Private collection NY and FL, since the 1980's. Custom mounted.
