| This is a wonderful antique sewing clamp.The vase top unscrews and holds whatever; the pincushion fabric is worn - this is the only flaw. An ivory floral bit surrounds a hole in the vase top to allow thread to run smoothly. This was used to clamp the fabric to the table and leave both hands free for hemming linens. It is a hard wood and probably dates around 1830. It is English. It is about 11" long and in excellent condition. | ||
