CAC American Belleek Mug Daises Gold Painted
A wide band of daisies in a green field circles the mug. There are raised enamels as well as flat paints. This wide border is flanked top and bottom by a wide paste gold foliate border enhanced with turquoise "jewels". I think this is the prettiest decoration I have seen on porcelain. The lower band has a painted border above "jewels". The handle is covered in gold. It stands 6" tall. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. The exterior has no wear; however there is some staining on the interior which is the only flaw in this marvelous piece. The Ceramic Art Company was founded in 1889 by Henry Lenox and Jonathan Coxon. It became the Lenox Company in 1906. I am certain this mug is factory decorated. This is a real treasure!
