Antique Creamer Farsi Persian Floral Ostad La
This is a pretty little creamer with a Farsi inscription which translates to "Commissioned Architect Ostad La". There are handpainted floral sprays in the German manner scattered about. It is small, about 4 1/2" tall and in very good used condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs; however, there is some wear to the gold on the lip. The thumbrest on the handle feels rough at the tip but it is kiln dirt and not a chip. There is no mark; the porcelain is very white and heavy similar to early Haviland and Meissen. I think it was probably made in Persia (Iran) in the 19th century. This is a real treasure!
