Antique Meissen Tray / Stand Courting Couple
This small tray, or teapot stand, was made at the Meissen factory in Germany circa 1750. The border is molded in the New Ozier pattern. A courting couple in landscape is painted in the center. There are small bouquets painted on the border. The stand measures 7" by 5". the condition is very good used. There are no chips, breaks, cracks or repairs. The only flaw is the gold wear on the rim - expected in a piece nearly 300 years old. There is evidence of kiln dirt which is expected in 18th century wares.
