Antique Meissen Cup Saucer c1735 Floral Scene
This is a wonderful cup and saucer made at the Meissen factory circa 1735. The interior of the cup and saucer are each molded in a simple straight pattern. The underglaze blue and floral decoration is enhanced with gilding - possibly hausmalerei. The center of the saucer has a painted coastal landscape. The teacup is 2" tall and the saucer is 5 1/4" across. The only flaw on either piece is the gold wear on the rim of the cup. There are no chips, cracks, lines or repairs. These are first quality pieces.
