Circa 1878 George Jones English Fabulous Nine (9) Piece Dessert set. This very unusual set comprises of Three Cake Stands/Tazzas and six individual game plates. This is what I refer and describe them as. This set is very unusual. Each piece has a wonderful decoration of very nicely painted birds. Each plate is very nicely decorated. Circa 1880 Chinese Export Blue and White Ginger jar measuring 10" in height. This ginger jars has the original cover. We have also mounted it on a rosewood base and have had it electrified and have also included the harp, shade and a finial to be converted into a table lamp. Late 19TH Century Chinese Export Mandarin Water Pitcher with handle converted into a Lamp. 11" in Height from Rosewood base to mouth or top of handle of this fine water pitcher. Electrified. Wonderful colors with blue and gold background and mandarin ladies in a scene of young child flying a kite. Circa 1840-1850 Chinese Export Blue Canton Round Tile. This tile measures 5 1/4" in diameter. These tiles were used as protection for table tops from hot teapots. They also came in square, square with chamfored corners and octagonal shape. Few are seen in Blue Canton but we have never seen one in rose medallion, rose mandarin,1000 butterflies, fitzhugh, cabbage leaf, sacred bird and butterfly or other 19th century chinese export designs.

Circa 1880 Chinese Export Egg Cup. The pattern on this famille rose egg cup is CANTON. It is basically rose canton and not rose medallion as there are alternating panels but it has no people on the decoration. It has the rose canton on one side and what appears to be 1000 butterfly on the other side. The butterfly has the nice black and yellow colors. along with blue. This is a new one on me and I simply could not resist it. This is a Mid 19th Century (C. 1840) Blue Canton Dinner Plate measuring 9 7/8" in diameter. The plate has been hand painted with a scene of Gay Head Cliffs on Martha's Vineyard. This plate was probably sold as a souvenir and around the bottom rim there is writing that says "SOUVENIR OF OAK BLUFFS" which is the name of a town on the island. Art work is actually really good and obviously done by a art student or a skilled artist...

Circa 1880 Chinese Export Sacred Bird and Butterfly Egg Cup. This is the first egg cup we have seen in the orange sacred bird and butterfly pattern of chinese export porcelain.
