|MID-20TH Century Oil on Board Painting of a Sailing Ship by Captain Bayard Fish Foulke. This painting measures 27" in Width and 20" in Height. Captain Bayard Fish Foulke was born in Oyster Bay, Long Island on February 28, 1880. He was a Sea Captain who Sailed the High Seas for over 50 Years. This is the Fifth Foulke Ship Painting that I have owned. The first one had the signature of all the mates of the Sailing Ship. Captain Foulke was a Life Time Sea Captain who loved to Paint Harbour Scenes of North Shore in Gloucester, Massachusetts. In addition to this Painting by Foulke we have Three other of his paintings on our web site. Those three paintings were purchased out of a Home in Philadelphia. Those three were framed in Philadelphia with one of those having a sticker on back of the framer,Staton's Galleries. This Painting was Framed by Newman Gallery in Philadelphia. This Painting is of a Clipper Ship. It is signed Bayard F. (FISH) Foulke. Foulke was a Lifetime Sea Captain and Painting was his Lifetime Hobby. We have Four Foulke Nautical Paintings in our Inventory at this moment. The other Three Paintings are of Ships in Harbor in North Shore in Massachusetts, Probably Gloucester.|
