French L’Epee Anglaise Style Carriage Clock
Upon Request

French L’Epee Polished Bronze Carriage Clock, with key wound, 8-day movement, and beveled glass on all sides and top. It has a white porcelain face with Roman numerals and marked, “L’Epee, Fondee in 1839” and “Sainte Luxanne France” in the center of the dial. L'Epee was founded in 1839 and has continued to maintain a reputation for their quality workmanship. They brought out a new line of carriage clocks in the late 1970’s, and we acquired this clock about 1978. It features the highly polished case for which L’Epee is renowned. It has the L'Epee name and crossed swords trademark impressed on the back of the 11 jewel movement. The size is 4-5/8” H x 3” W x 2-1/2” d; weighs 2 lbs, 11 ozs. The clock is in running order, and the beveled glass and porcelain dial are in perfect condition. Key is included with clock. Age is c. 1978.
