Japanese Bronze Okimono of a Samurai Archer

Meiji Period gilt-bronze casting of a Samurai Archer kneeling on his right knee while drawing back a large separately cast arrow, while gripping the bow (also separately cast) with his outstretched left hand. The bare-footed figure is depicted wearing authentic Japanese military apparel with family crests (mons), an archer's hat, armored vest, protective leg guards, and a short sword secured to his side by a belt. The bronze bears a signature in gilt cartouche that reads "Hidenobu". Size is 11 in. high by 9 in. wide from rear knee to front toe, and 4 in. depth. Excellent condition with no damage or repairs.
