Rose Famille Porcelain Box with Armorial style crest design, and copper trim and hinges. The porcelain is decorated with a green basket weave design around the edge with pink flowers interspersed. The top has a beautifully designed crest with a stylized lion, eagle and a rat with the words "Abstitit Que Dedit" below. The lower section is painted in the same enamel colors and has a scrolling vine border and pink florals on each of the four sides. The copper trim around the edges of the top and bottom section has etched flowers and leaves. The glaze has the appearance of orange peel and it has an unglazed foot. The bottom is marked with an early red "CHINA" impression. Estimated age is c1920. Size is 4-1/2" wide by 2" high by 3-3/8" deep, and weight is 1 lb. Excellent condition, with only minor wear to enamel design in a few spots.
