Superb Northern Qi Painted Camel with Saddle Bags

Because the dynasty was so short, Northern Qi (550-577 AD) tomb pottery is rare. This is an exquisite example of Northern Qi skill in depicting the camels that trod the caravan routes of the Silk Road. Great detail is shown in the saddlebags and harness. The camel is 10" long and 11" high.
